Why should someone be born again? What does that mean? Jesus tells us in John 3 that unless you are born again you cannot see the kingdom of God. In order to be born again we just believe that Jesus is the Son of God, that He died for our sins, and that He was resurrected on the 3rd day. We must receive Him as our Lord and Savior.

In John 3 Jesus says, "that which is born of flesh is flesh, and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit. Therefore we must be born again of the Spirit. When we surrender our lives to God and accept Jesus as our Lord and Savior, we become born again of the Holy Spirit.

Why baptism? Jesus Himself was baptized and commanded us to do the same. In John 3 he said that unless we are born again of water and and the Spirit, we shall not enter the kingdom of God. Baptism is a public declaration that we are choosing to follow Christ as our Savior and following His commandments.
